LIVERPOOL’S businessmen are being urged to put their assets on display to help fund an organisation that aims to get lone parents back into the workplace.
Businesswoman Jo Schumacher is putting together a special calendar featuring a picture of a scantily-clad man for each month of the year.
Ms Schumacher is urging the city’s businessmen, lawyers, bankers, accountants and other professionals to turn up for auditions at Liverpool Town Hall on Friday, May 18 and be given the once-over by a panel of female judges, which will include Lord Mayor Joan Lang.
Proceeds from the calendar will go towards funding a new social enterprise which will help lone mothers to kick-start their careers.
Women of Influence will, according to Ms Schumacher, use an “entrepreneurial approach” to tackling the social needs of women and lone parents who may have been disadvantaged by motherhood, crisis or hardship, poverty, learning disabilities or mental health problems.
